The school's annual Athletics Carnival will be held on Thursday 30th of July at the CF White Oval for all students across the school (P-12).
All students 8 years and under will attend school as usual on Thursday morning. At 12 noon, they will catch a bus from school to the oval and will transported back to school at 2:30pm.
All students 9 years and over should meet at CF White Oval for an 8:30am roll call. Students who catch a bus to school can hop off at the Stanthorpe State High bus stop and walk to the oval. At the end of the carnival, all students should be collected from the CF White Oval. Those who would normally catch a bus at the end of the day will be walked to the bus stop at Stanthorpe State High School by a member of staff to meet their bus.
Due to COVID-19 regulations, the school has made the decision to make this a STUDENT ONLY event. Unfortunately, we will not be able to have parents and caregivers at the event except to pick up and drop off their children. However, in order to provide families with the opportunity to watch their children compete, we will be live streaming different events on the St Joseph’s Facebook account. A schedule with the times of the events being broadcast will be provided in due course. We ask that parents and caregivers apply social distancing rules when dropping off and picking up their children and do not enter the venue.
A canteen will be operating on the day using the Qkr! Online ordering system.
Meals for morning and afternoon breaks will need to be ordered by 9.00am on WEDNESDAY 29 July.
Bags of chips, drinks and lollies will still be available for purchase over the counter.
We thank Bec Telfer once again for coordinating the canteen.
