Welcome to Semester 2 - and what will hopefully be a less disruptive semester for us all.  The students have already settled in well to the learning routines and are looking forward to the resumption of some school activities such as sporting carnivals, inter school sport and assemblies.  We are also keen to resume our visits with the local child care facilities and Kindy as soon as is possible. 

This term is one in which we begin to think about some aspects of the new academic year. This might seem strange but it is important that planning starts early.  In the next few weeks, we will hold two Open Mornings for parents of prospective Prep students for 2021, followed by enrolment interviews.  If you are aware of families who may be looking at enrolling their children at our school, please advise them of the Open Mornings on 5 August and 11 August 9:00 - 10:30am.

We are also pleased, as a school, to be able to hold a Visible Learning Opening Day in Week 7 to highlight our progress as a school which promotes and values the qualities of an effective learner and strives to develop these dispositions in all our students from Prep - Year 12.  On this day we will host other schools from the Toowoomba diocese, some of which are our companions on this journey as well as others who are keen for their learners to experience the success that our learners have. 

Parent Teacher Consultations are currently underway and will continue for the next few weeks.  I do encourage parents to avail themselves of this opportunity to discuss their child's progress with the class teacher.
