We are excited to announce the Nature Play project. The P&F, supported by the School, will lead this initiative creating two new ‘nature play’ spaces on the Primary campus. Enhancing green space and natural play environments will stimulate our students’ engagement with nature encouraging collaboration, creativity, problem solving and exploration. The plans include a mud kitchen, cubbies, water wall, bush tucker and other sensory play zones, along with log areas (yarning circles) where teachers can take the classroom outdoors. Please see the PDF attached for an overview and project design.
The project will roll out in two phases:
Phase 1 will commence with an upgrade to the existing garden area outside the Prep and Year 1 classrooms for the Prep-Year 2 students. This phase will begin this term with the hope that it will be ready for students at the commencement of Term 1 2024.
Phase 2 focuses on a Year 3-6 area. It requires construction and earthworks so the project will commence over the Christmas holidays and should be completed by the end of Term 1 2024.

This promises to be an engaging school community project which will connect parents, teachers and students to create something beneficial for our school.
