AUSTRALIA'S BIGGEST MORNING TEA
Staff from both Primary and Secondary recently held fundraisers to help raise money for a very worthy cause - Australia's Biggest Morning Tea. Supporting Cancer Council Queensland helps to raise funds to assist with vital cancer research, run lifesaving education programs and help the thousands of Queensland families affected by cancer each year.
Teachers and staff on the Primary campus put on their best dressed outfits and wore their "mad hats", all while getting in the sprit on their "Mat Hatter's Tea Party".
Displays of tea pots, clocks, quotes and decorations from Alice in Wonderland adorned the walls and tables of the staffroom along with some delicious and very tasteful food (the tea cup bisuits made with marshmallows, ticktok bisuits and musk lifesavers, were a real treat).
Congratulations to Mrs Yates and Miss Gangemi on winning Best Hats, Mr Page and Miss Canavan for winning Best Dressed and Mr Fleming for winning the Hot Trivia.
Staff on Secondary put their baking skills to the test and took part in a "Bake Off", where teachers had to vote on their favorite cake/slice/cheesecake.
With so many tasty treats to taste test and vote upon, it was a hard decision but ultimately Mr Citrigno took out the win with his very scrumptious and delicious cheescake.
Together, a total of $342.60 was raised.
Thankyou to all staff who contributed in any way to this very worthwhile cause.
