PAST STUDENT HONOURED BY GOVERNOR GENERAL
This month, past student Lieutenant Colonel Alyson Auliff AM was invested as a Member of the Order of Australia (Military Division) for exceptional service to the Australian Defence Force in malaria research. She received her award from the Governor General, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd), in a ceremony at Government House in Canberra.
Alyson attended St Joseph’s School from 1983 to 1992. She is currently a Scientific Officer in the Australian Defence Force and is serving in the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade Indo-Pacific Centre for Health Security. Alyson is highly qualified having completed a Research Doctorate in Molecular Parasitology at the University of Queensland and a Graduate Diploma in Health Management at the Queensland University of Technology.
