The History Room
Service Learning is a key component in the religious education of students in Catholic Schools. As such St Joseph’s School places key emphasis on the importance of participating as both ‘welcomer’ and ‘guest’ in whatever capacity possible. It is also important that our students understand the value and significance of giving back to both their school and community whenever they are able.
This Saturday and next Sunday, Year 12 students will be assisting in sorting and compiling history resources and memorabilia from our school as we prepare to establish our History Room.
The History Room will highlight key moments of our journey from the founding of our school in 1875, bringing to life the many events which have taken place since then. As we prepare to celebrate our 150th anniversary in 2025, this room will be a focus for many past and present staff and students as they witness our story, understanding “why we are what we are”.
