Yesterday saw the beginning of a busy time in the Church’s Liturgical calendar.  Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the Lenten season, the 40-day period marked by repentance, fasting, reflection and ultimately celebration in preparation for Easter.  

Students in Years 8 -12 celebrated Mass in the church in the morning whilst students in Prep to Year 6 celebrated the Liturgy of the Word and distribution of Ashes in the Multi Purpose Room later in the day.

The distribution of Ashes this year was somewhat different given the restrictions put in place because of Covid19.  Fr Brian invited everyone to make the sign of the cross on their own foreheads.
