Tuesday 16th February was Shrove Tuesday or Pancake Tuesday, the day preceding Ash Wednesday marking the beginning of Lent.  Traditionally, Pancake Tuesday was a day where flour, eggs and milk were used to enjoy a feast before Lent, a time where fasting and abstaining was observed prior to Easter.

As has become tradition, pancakes were again served with maple syrup and ice cream at a small cost on both Primary and Secondary campuses.

The theme for this year's Project Compassion is "Be More" and as this years School Prefects, Karla Brien and Taylah Whiticker will be undertaking Project Compassion and they co-ordinated Pancake Tuesday with the support of other Year 12 students.  They have also distributed Project Compassion boxes to all Pastoral Care/Mentor Group classrooms and will also be running a competition - which PC class can work together to raise the most money. There will be a prize for the winning class!!

All monies raised supports Project Compassion and the work of Caritas.

What a lovely way to share a pancake breakfast and support such a worthy cause.
