CHRISTMAS SPIRIT SENT TO CHINESE ORPHANAGE
Last year, students from Year 9 made Christmas cards for abandoned children with disabilities at an orphanage run by International China Concern in Changsha, China. This was a great exercise in practicing our school’s Mercy value of Compassion.
The cards were made with materials such as pom poms, glitter tape, diamantes, stickers, ribbon and string so they were bright, colourful and tactile for the children to especially enjoy through the sense of touch.
The children and their carers have had a very challenging year due to COVID 19 and, by the smiles on their faces, it is clear that they greatly appreciated every card and the little bits of love that were generously put into making them. Thank you, students !
