Year 9 students at St Joseph’s School have been on a journey to discover how cheese is made, where it comes from and the importance of the dairy industry!

In Term 2 the students spent a day making camembert cheese, followed by a week of carefully nurturing their cheeses and turning them daily before wrapping them and leaving them to mature in the fridge for several weeks.

Finally, after weeks of resting, the students unwrapped their mature cheeses and judged them on appearance, aroma and taste.
