Primary School's Netball Cup

Over the first weekend of the September school holidays, our talented primary netball team proudly represented the school at the Primary Schools Netball Cup which was played in Brisbane.

The players had a fabulous time on and off the court, gaining valuable experience and showcasing great sportsmanship throughout the event.

A huge thank you goes out to all the families who came along to support the team—your encouragement made a real difference! Special appreciation also goes to our dedicated staff members, Mrs Jane Clarke and Mrs Kayelene O’Dea, for taking the team away and ensuring everything ran smoothly.

Every player represented our school with pride and enthusiasm. Well done, team!

O'Dea Sisters Shine at National Orienteering Championships

Congratulations to Margaret O’Dea (Year 9) and Erin O’Dea (Year 11) who proudly represented both Queensland and our school at the Australian Schools Orienteering Championships over the September school.

Competing alongside the best young orienteers from across Australia and New Zealand, Margaret and Erin embraced the challenge with enthusiasm and determination. Their participation was not only a wonderful personal achievement but also a fantastic opportunity to gain experience at a national level.

Well done to both students for their outstanding efforts and for representing our school with such pride!

Congratulations Georgia Robinson!

We’re so proud to celebrate Year 4 student Georgia Robinson on her selection as Goalkeeper for the Queensland West U10 Futsal team at the National School Futsal Championships in Brisbane over the holidays!

Georgia and her team played brilliantly, making it all the way to the semi-finals where they narrowly lost to the ACT in a close 3–2 match.
After the championships, the Australian Allstar U10 teams were announced — and we’re excited to share that Georgia was named an Allstar for the U10 Girls!  She’s now been selected to represent Australia in the international competition in Malaysia in April 2026!
This amazing journey began when Georgia was scouted while representing St Joseph’s at the Primary Cup in Toowoomba earlier this year.
Well done, Georgia! We can’t wait to see what’s next!

Cricket Gala Day
The Cricket Gala Day, held on Thursday 9 October, was a fantastic success with a significant number of students from Years 3 to 6 taking part. The day was filled with energy, enthusiasm, and plenty of cricket action under a beautiful sunny sky.

Students enjoyed the Cricket Blasters program, which provided a fun and engaging introduction to the game. The event was held at CF White Oval and gave students the chance to build skills, play games, and enjoy the spirit of teamwork.

A big thank you to Ms Sarah Day for coordinating the day, and to Mr Will Creagh-Barry, Mrs Shauna Evans, and Mrs Wendy Miller for supporting the students throughout the event. Their efforts helped make the day memorable and enjoyable for all involved.

Best Wishes to Our Darling Downs Athletes!

This weekend, two of our students will be representing the Darling Downs Athletics Team at the Queensland School Sport Track & Field Championships in Townsville.

We send our very best wishes to Camilla (Milly) Watts, competing in Discus, and Hannah Grogan, competing in Shot Put. The girls will compete from Thursday 16 to Sunday 19 October at the Townsville Sports Precinct.

We’re incredibly proud of you both and know you’ll give it your all. Good luck, girls !
