Interdistrict Basketball
A number of our students recently competed in the Interschool Basketball Competition, with matches held across three venues: the Bathersby Stadium, YMCA, and Stanthorpe State High School. The event saw mixed success across all four divisions, but every team represented our school with pride, determination, and great sportsmanship.
Open Boys and Junior Girls teams were unstoppable, winning all their games and taking out their respective divisions. Their teamwork and commitment were truly commendable.
Open Girls had a strong showing, winning two out of three games to finish second in their division. A special mention goes to the Junior Girls who stepped up to support the team, showcasing the spirit of collaboration and resilience.
Junior Boys may not have come away with a win, but their enthusiasm, camaraderie, and sportsmanship—towards both their teammates and opponents—were a highlight of the competition.
Congratulations to all players and thank you to the staff, coaches, and supporters who made this event possible.
We’re proud of every student who participated!

Netball Gala Day
Wednesday 27 August saw a number of our students travel to Toowoomba to compete in the Netball Gala Day.
With three teams entered and each playing 7 or 8 games, it was a full day of fast-paced action, teamwork, and determination. The competition was fierce, with around 20 schools and multiple teams taking part.
Here’s how our teams finished in their pools:
- Red Team – 3 wins, finished 5th
- Green Team – 2 wins, finished 5th
- Yellow Team – 5 wins, finished 4th
All three teams had some incredibly close matches, with several losses decided by just one or two goals — a true testament to their grit and skill!
A huge congratulations to all players for representing our school with pride and sportsmanship.
