In Week 3, the Senior Schooling Information night will be held for parents and students currently in Year 10. This night provides vital information in relation to senior and post-schooling pathways, as well as outlining the enhancements to the curriculum offerings that will ensure each of our students is able to map an individual pathway that will ready them for the next phase of their life post-school.

Further to this, Hayley Pfeiffer (Careers Support Officer) and I will meet with all Year 10 students and parents from Week 4 to commence work in developing their Senior Education and Training (SET) plans. This document informs post-school pathways and subsequent curriculum offerings to ensure that the school can work collaboratively with the student to achieve success in their senior schooling and provide the necessary pathways to post-school study and employment. 

Parent Teacher consultations will take place on the Secondary Campus in Week 2. Hopefully they provide a valuable opportunity for students, parents and teachers to collaborate around academic performance and put plans in place to continue to improve and achieve success in all subjects. As always, as the year progresses, I encourage you as parents to be proactive in touching base with your child’s teachers if you have any questions, concerns or simply want an update on how things are travelling in class and around school. 

Finally, the Year 11 and 12 Hybrid Learning students in Specialist Maths, Legal, Aerospace and English & Literature Extension travelled to Toowoomba for their Term 3 face to face intensives. Hopefully, this will set them up for success leading into the next phase of assessment.
