It has been a good start to Term 2.

Last week we were involved in a number of ANZAC Day activities. I am very proud of the school’s involvement and particularly how respectfully our students participated. Thank you to all the students, staff and families who supported the various ANZAC Day services and parades in Stanthorpe, Tenterfield and Wallangarra, as well as the St Joseph's Parish Mass. It is important to remember the service and sacrifice of all our service people and their families and loved ones. Lest We Forget.

At our school ANZAC Day Service on Thursday 24th April, we recognised the service and sacrifice of past student, Edmund Joseph Stewart, who served our country and was killed in action in World War One. We acknowledged Edmund Joseph Stewart’s sacrifice with a plaque on our school war memorial. Our thanks to Father Nathan who blessed the plaque during the service.

Over the coming weeks we will be featuring the stories of notable past students. These are the stories of those past students who have made a notable contribution to our community and are great role models for our current students. Our first story will be Edmund’s story.
