DEPUTY PRINCIPAL

Term 1 Academic reports were distributed electronically to the Parent Portal during the holidays. Secondary Parent Teacher consultations will occur in Week 3 as a follow up to these reports being issued. Parent Teacher Consultations are an important opportunity for parents, staff and students to have collaborative conversations to reflect on the students’ academic performance in Term 1 and refine future directions to build upon this success, as well as seek improvement. If you are unable to attend on the night, please do not hesitate to contact your child’s teachers to seek feedback on the academic progress.
Year 11 and 12 students enrolled in Aerospace, Legal Studies and Specialist Mathematics as part of the school’s Hybrid Learning engagement attended full day intensives in Toowoomba this week. These were vital sessions to connect with their teacher and fellow students from other TCS schools, as a supplement to the asynchronous learning that occurs via the online hybrid learning platforms.

In Years 6-8, elective rotations finished at the end of Week 3. Students, in Week 4, will begin new electives as part of this year long rotation. Students will be working to finalise all summative assessment across the next week in preparation for these changes, and the first elective rotation will be fully reported on in the Semester 1 reporting period.
