Welcome back to Term 4! It is important that all students continue to engage in their learning and maximise the opportunities to consolidate and improve the knowledge, skills and capabilities that have been developed across the year.

The Year 12 students have commenced final preparations for the External Assessment Block, which commences on 21 October across Queensland. Following a challenging Mock External Assessment Block at the end of last term, coupled with the excellent Toowoomba Catholic Schools External Assessment Preparation Program run across the September holidays, the students have been provided with extensive feedback in relation to their knowledge, skills and capabilities around the external examinations. The journey in preparing for these external exams has been long and challenging, and we as a school community are proud of the effort and commitment that the Year 12’s have shown across the year. We wish them luck!

Recently, we joined students, families, employers and training organisations for the annual School Based Apprenticeship and Traineeship Luncheon at the QCWT. This was a wonderful occasion and celebrated the excellent work and commitment of our seven Year 12 SBA students. We celebrated not only their continued efforts in working towards completion of the trades and traineeships, but recognised their efforts in successfully balancing school and work commitments across the senior schooling phase. We wish these students all the best as they move into full-time work post school. A huge thank you to Hayley Pfeiffer and Brooke Butson for their leadership and work in supporting our SBA students and families.
