The Go for Gold Fund is a targeted strategy aimed at enhancing sports performance preparation for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The Queensland Government has allocated $100 million over 4 years to construct and upgrade school sports infrastructure, as well as provide sports equipment to foster student activity and participation across all Queensland schools.

In the first round, the focus was on sports equipment funding. Grants of up to $5,000 were offered for various sports, ranging from athletics to basketball, sport climbing to skateboarding. The goal was to encourage active play and boost sports participation, thereby maximizing the utilization of existing infrastructure.
