EXCITING NEWS FROM OUR TUCKSHOP

This year tuckshop on both the Primary and Secondary campus will be will be run by a Parents & Friends Association sub-committee.

Ruth Stefanon, Fiona Fox, Emma Fraguas, Chelsea Vedelago, Sally Cameron and Rebecca Telfer will coordinate the tuckshop with the assistance of Megan Hines, the Bursar.

PRIMARY - Monday & Fridays

The new committee will be trialling a new class-based roster system this year. This roster covers both tuckshop workers as well as homebaking. It will mean that each class will only need to find enough volunteers to help in tuckshop for a few weeks for the entire year. The roster can be found below and has also been distributed via the Class Parent Facebook pages. It will be up to each class to find volunteers but the committee will also be ensuring the roster is sufficiently full for each shift.

SECONDARY - Wednesdays

For the Secondary campus it has been decided to keep the same system as previous years, asking for one or two parent helpers each shift. As the weeks progress, it is hoped to involve the senior students as well.

The committee have put the call out for helpers and thank those parents who have already voluntered, however there are still some vacant spots that need to be filled.

New parents or parents who have often thought about lending a hand, to volunteer are always welcome and are encouraged to volunteer. The kids really love seeing their parents faces in the tuckshop and it’s also a great way to meet new parents. If you’re not able to assist by working in the tuckshop perhaps you are able to contibute by donating items to the tuckshop, such as fruit, lettuce, tomatoes or anything that may be used in the tuckshop.

Note that is a mandatory requirement that all volunteers must complete the Volunteer Declaration Form which can be found on the St Joseph's School website or by using the following link : https://www.twb.catholic.edu.au/work-and-learn-with-us/volunteers-and-visiting-service-providers. This form must be completed before the commencement of volunteering and must be handed in to the school office.

Ordering tuckshop through the Qkr! app

You can now order your tuckshop online, through the QKR app, for all students.

Please follow the instructions here to download the app. Please ensure that you update and / or choose the CORRECT class in which your child is in (eg: 8M or 8D, this will be their MENTOR class, 3/4PG, Prep etc). This ensures that your order is sent / placed in the correct classroom tuckshop box.

Important notes to remember :

Primary tuckshop ordering closes at 8am on the day of tuckshop.
Secondary tuckshop ordering closes midnight Tuesday night.
NO LATE orders or refunds can be made once the order has been placed.
EACH child is to have their own profile for ordering (siblings cannot order for each other)
Students can only order from their own campus tuckshop (Primary from Primary and Secondary from Secondary)
