Our school is participating in Queensland Health's annual School Immunisation Program.

All Year 7 and Year 10 students will be offered free vaccinations to protect against vaccine preventable diseases. Year 7 students will be offered a human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine and a combined diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis (whooping cough) vaccine. Year 10 students will be offered vaccines against meningoccal disease.

The clinics will be held at St Joseph's School during school hours. The vaccinations will be conducted by a team of authorised registered nurses from OzCare Toowoomba.

Round 1: 29th April 2024, 9am:  Year 7 HPV (1) & dTpa (5) & Year 10 MenACWY (2) & MenB (1)
Round 2:  23rd July 2024, 9am:  Year 10 MenB (2)

The consent packs have already been given to your child to bring home. Please read the information booklet carefully. If you wish to take part in this program, sign the consent form and return the consent form to the school by 29 February. If you indicate "No to Vaccination", you will not be followed up by the provider.   

Parents, legal guardians or authorised persons are encouraged to ensure their child has breakfast on the morning of the vaccinations.
