Rice Day was held as a fundraiser to complement our Project Compassion appeal and raise awareness of how important a bowl of rice is to so many people in our world.

This year Rice Day was held in conjunction with Harmony Day. Harmony Day is a celebration of our cultural diversity – a day of cultural respect for everyone who calls Australia home and aims to eliminate racial discrimination.

Students were invited to buy a bowl of rice for $2 and watch a presentation put together by the Teen Vinnies team about Harmony Day as well as participate in games run by students to promote diversity.
