On Tuesday 23rd July, six Year 7 students attended the Robocup Junior Regional Competition at Toowoomba Christian College in Highfields. Robocup Junior is an interschool competition which challenges students to assemble robots capable of taking part in a number of 'battles'. This year St Joseph’s School entered two teams in the soccer division of the competition, where students were tasked with designing, engineering and programming robots to compete in a dynamic game of robot soccer against an opposing pair of robots.

The St Joseph's School teams finished well in the competition, winning some of their rounds, drawing in others, and suffering a few nail-biting defeats. At the core of these competitions is the essence of learning and collaboration. It was also fantastic to witness our students finding solutions to complex issues!
