On 8 May 2019, SchoolTV published the Parenting Styles Special Report. As a part of this Special Report, a survey was included asking parents a series of questions allowing them to determine their own parenting style. These parenting styles were based on the research of Professor Diana Baumrind, a developmental psychologist at the University of California at Berkeley.

As of the 27 June 2019, SchoolTV had 4,412 parents across Australia and New Zealand complete the parenting survey.

Attached is a detailed report showing the results received from parent submissions across ALL SchoolTV schools in Australia and New Zealand relating to the Parenting Survey. Almost 80% of parents classified their parenting style as Authoritative (warm and responsive, clear rules, high expectations, supportive and value indepdence).
