WELCOME TO ST JOSEPH'S SCHOOL
We would like to warmly welcome our existing and new families to the school for 2023 and to welcome our new staff. All of our new staff bring experience, enthusiasm and a passion for teaching to the school. Our community of teachers continues to grow, but our mission remains the same; we are here to serve, teach and help our students.
Our new teachers are :
- Ms Jill Hamilton - Learning Support Teacher
- Ms Kaylah Adams - Secondary Teacher
- Mrs Tia Low - Secondary Teacher
- Ms Georgie Cannon - Primary Teacher Aide
- Ms Amy Veitch - Teacher Aide
• She has a Masters of Educational Studies in Learning Support from the University of Queensland and comes to us from Brisbane Boys College.
Ms Kaylah Adams - Secondary Teacher (Humanities and English) :
• Kaylah is an experienced teacher who comes to us from Stanthorpe State High School.
• She has a Bachelor of Human Services and a Graduate Diploma in Education from the University of Queensland.
• Kaylah is also a parent at St Joseph’s School.
Mrs Tia Low - Secondary Teacher (HPE, English and Religion) :
• Tia is a third year teacher who also comes to us from Stanthorpe State High School.
• She brings youth, enthusiasm and passion for learning and physical activities to the Secondary.
• Tia has a Bachelor of Education (Secondary) in Health and Physical Education & English.
Ms Georgie Cannon - Primary Teacher Aide :
• Georgie comes to us highly recommended from Allora P-10 State School where she has been a Year 1-2 teacher for two years.
• She will work in Year 1 supporting the classroom teacher and students.
• She has a Bachelor of Education (Primary) from Queensland University of Technology.
• Georgie and her fiancée have recently moved to Stanthorpe.
Ms Amy Veitch - Teacher Aide :
• Amy has previously worked with people with disabilities and children in early learning.
• In Amy’s words she is, “enthusiastic to be a part of a school community to foster and guide children's learning, confidence and connections with their peers and wider community.”
• She has a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care and has recently moved to Stanthorpe.
