Two modules that are of particularly relevant for this time of year are School Transitions (starting school, a new year or at a new school) and Surviving Final Year (Year 12).
Whether it is starting school for the first time, moving up to a higher grade or embarking on a journey through secondary school, there is no doubt that any school transition is a very exciting time for children and parents. It means that the children are growing up!
Every year, the media exposes us to the hype and pressure relating to the final year of secondary school. However, putting things into perspective for students and parents alike, can help prevent everyone getting overwhelmed. Although this final year is important, it will not be the most important year of your child’s life. It is crucial for parents to reinforce the mantra of ‘you are more than your ATAR’.
We suggest you explore what SchoolTV has to offer.
If you have any concerns about your child, please contact your child’s teacher, one of the Wellbeing Team or a member of the School Leadership Team.
