Over a period of three weeks, a team of St Joseph’s students competed in the Granite Belt Chess Competition.

Patrick Scudamore, Lachlan Doyle, Luke Maggiolio, Jeremy Lister, and Poppy Auliff represented our school.

In an extremely impressive performance, the team remained undefeated in the preliminary rounds to advance to the grand final where they defeated Stanthorpe State Primary School.

This result was a reward for the many lunch times playing against other students in preparation.
