As part of the Primary Leadership Program, the Year 6 leaders with the responsibility for the environment of the school have become disheartened by the amount of rubbish that is generated each day from food waste and packaging. As a result, students on the Primary campus will have a 'bin-free day' each Thursday for the rest of term.
Therefore, from today, each Thursday there will be no bins available on the Primary Campus.
Parents and students are asked to consider the packaging used for food and should waste be generated, students will need to take it home. This is an awareness raising campaign and the Year 6 students hope that students will gain an understanding of the damage that excess rubbish can cause.
Thank you for your support of our school.
