YEAR 9 HOME ECONOMICS
The Year 9 Home Economics group made a trip to local restaurant Essen to learn from chef Clarissa Pabst about qualities of a good dessert.
Students helped prep some different elements, learned some tips and tricks of the trade, watched a demo of Clarissa constructing one of their desserts – a caramel treacle tart – before having a go at preparing one themselves!
It was great to learn a bit about a local business as well!
