Communities of Faith, Hope and Love
Catholic Education Week commences on Sunday 24th July and celebrates the strengths and distinctiveness of Catholic schools throughout Queensland.
Celebrated annually in week 3 of Term 3, this year’s theme is ‘Communities of Faith, Hope and Love’, and acknowledges the diverse and rich contributions of all members of our community. Through Catholic Education, St Joseph’s School strives to make a difference in the lives of those in our schools and wider community challenging our young people to live out the message of Jesus and to reach their full potential in all aspects of their being.
During this week and beyond let us “renew our faith, draw from the living waters of hope, and receive with open hearts the love of God.” (Pope Francis, 2021)
“Love is when we help each other” (Blake, Prep)
“Love is care and friendship, and everything that matters to you” (Oliver, Year 3)
“Faith is believing or trusting in someone or something you don’t know is real but is real in your heart” (Emily, Year 6)
“Hope is experiencing feelings of compassion” (Luke, Year 10)
God Bless,
