House Games
A huge round of applause to all our Secondary students for showcasing remarkable energy and unwavering House pride during Secondary Mentor activities on Thursday 13th March.
These engaging physical games are designed to strengthen House spirit while fostering a healthy sense of competition among Mentor Classes. The enthusiasm and sportsmanship displayed by everyone truly made the day unforgettable.
Netball
A massive congratulations to our Years 7-9 Netball team for taking out the Division 3 championship in the Laura Geitz Cup held in Toowoomba on Sunday 16th March. The team went undefeated across eight matches and triumphed in the final with an impressive 8-5 victory.
Special recognition goes to Lily Tuvukica, who was named the best overall player by judges from the Darling Downs Panthers. Lily was awarded a collector’s edition Laura Geitz netball, personally signed by Laura herself—what an incredible achievement!
Thank you to Ava Scalia and Olivia Favaro for their outstanding dedication, giving up their Sunday to umpire throughout the day. Your contribution ensured the event's success and did not go unnoticed.
We also extend our gratitude to coach Ms Katrina Hawira for her unwavering guidance, and to all the families who came along to cheer for the team.

Futsal
Tuesday 4th March saw four enthusiastic Primary futsal teams hop on early morning buses, ready for a day packed with fun, skill-building, and friendly competition.
The Under-10 girls’ team joined the tournament for the first time, with three schools participating in their age group. It was an exciting debut in a school competition, where the girls gave their best effort. While they didn’t secure a win, they gained valuable experience and had a great time.
The Under-10 boys’ team faced some strong opponents and showed remarkable dedication throughout the day. With 2 wins and 2 losses, their teamwork and determination stood out—great job, boys!
The Under-12 girls’ team demonstrated excellent teamwork and hard work, finishing with 2 wins, a draw, and a loss. Their impressive performance earned them a spot in the semi-final. Although they didn’t advance to the final, the girls displayed incredible spirit and resilience.
The Under-12 boys’ team experienced mixed outcomes but gave their all. Reaching the quarter-finals, they unfortunately fell to a team that had previously won the national title. The boys wrapped up the day with 3 wins and 2 losses—a commendable effort!
Orienteering
On Thursday, 20th March, a group of determined students gathered to put their navigational skills and endurance to the test during the Orienteering trials. This thrilling event provided them with an opportunity to secure a spot on the prestigious Darling Downs Orienteering team. Participants challenged themselves on a demanding course, demonstrating their ability to think quickly, adapt to changing terrains, and perform under pressure.
The trials became more than just a competition—it was a testament to resilience, teamwork, and the spirit of adventure. Both seasoned orienteers and first-time challengers embraced the experience, each striving to prove their potential and achieve excellence. The students' efforts showcased their dedication, leaving an inspiring mark on the journey toward regional representation.
Congratulations to the following students for securing a place on the Darling Downs team! They will now advance to compete at the State Championship, which will be held in Kingaroy on the 26th and 27th of July.
